When Is The Classics 2021?

Unfortunately due to the recent Covid-19 announcement The Classics has been cancelled with a new date set for next year 11-13th March 2022.

Held over 3 days this beachside festival celebrates all things Classic Cars and Retro Caravans.

Where Is The Festival?

The Classics is held at Ohope Beach voted NZ’s Best Beach 2021 with a variety of events held in both Whakatane (Sunshine Capital) and Ohope.

The Classics Car & Caravan Show

Bring your classic car and retro caravan beachside for a rocking weekend….

The Classics Car & Caravan Show will be held at Bluett Park, Ohope on Saturday, 12th March 2022 from 12pm-4pm.

Gate opens on the day to Classic Cars and Retro Caravans from 9.00am to 11.45am. No pre-registration necessary.

$5.00 entry fee for all Classic Cars and Retro Caravans payable on arrival.

Prizes given for Show & Shine announced at 3.30pm (winner must be present to receive prize). All cars and caravans must remain on-site until 4.00pm.

What Does It Cost?

Entry is by gold coin donation for the general public with proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) .

Where Can I Park?

Day Parking: free public parking available along Bluett Road, Pohutukawa Avenue and Maraetotara Reserve.

Travelling by Bus: check out the Bay Hopper.

Road Safety: with hundreds of classic cars travelling through the streets of Whakatane and Ohope over the festival weekend, please be mindful of pedestrians and adhere to speed limits.

Are Dogs Permitted?

No dogs allowed.
